OUR HINTERLAND.

Life sucks when you're confined three weeks in camp.

But it doesn't sound that bad when you've got a pc in the bunk, hahaha.

Think it's back to school and work for most of you out there, so all the best to you kids. Especially for the poly boys, enjoy...while you can, heh heh heh.

Okay that's all I have to mutter about, might blog some more while I'm there but don't count on it ;)

NEGLIGENCE.

Was it an illusion?

All of those pleasant, sweet memories...

Which seemed to falter with such simplicity.

Yes and no.
Yes, they still do remain. No, there are intentions which are concealed from our senses.

A TEAR.

For myself, I had about the same friends in primary and secondary school. So the time I spent with them was about ten years. Then, I bid farewell to most of them when I went on to junior college. The two years didn't last long and everything was rather fast-paced, so I had few good friends. Right after, it was time to face ns. Bmt is over, and I've met a bunch of really good friends within the short period of two months.

They're people from extremely differing backgrounds. Some are from the junior colleges, some are from the polys and the oldest guy I know is like three years my senior.

But since we're all guys and we talk about everything in the same frequency, it's like we're the same age.

They're about fourty over guys in my platoon but I'm closer to half of them, and I guess it's quite something. You go through the same hardship along with the same bunch of guys every single day, you get punished together with them and then talk about how ridiculous it is during our free time, and you hear about some of their horny encounters from time to time. Heck, you even have to endure most of their bad habits. But I knew that when pop day came, I may never see most of them ever again and I guess I wanna type a little something about the guys from my section.

Bed one: haha my section guys always call him the 'prc' because he's like the fairest of them all in the platoon. But he's a really nice guy because he's always doing shit for his buddy even when the buddy doesn't care, hahaha. One of the jokers in the section too, think he caught the disease from alex. Out of the whole section, I think he's the one with all the leadership capabilities man. When he was platoon ic, it was like he could smile while getting tekaned for platoon's bad behaviour. Respect, aha.

Bed two: no one could ever forget about alex. Platoon comedian and I think he's one of the most notorious guys in the company ever since his gimmick when he imitated an officer during oc evening. He's much closer to us in the platoon though, he's like a friend to everyone. He's so close to us that he always strolls along the corridor naked while on the way to the toilet for a shower. Well, intolerable but, guess everyone just laughs.

Bed three: hahaha it seems like kwek's the one who has to tolerate all the bad habits of the first beds one, two and four since they're like more of the genuine entertainment ic's of the section, heh heh. But he's quite sad lah, we all think he's somehow rejected by his girlfriend when she doesn't reply his messages, hahah.

Bed four: think with robin and alex together they're like the ultimate 'omgwtflolmaoroflx' duo because they come up with all the ridiculous antics, including walking around in the nude and pissing the commanders off. He could even take all the tekan from the commanders bravely, even though he suffered some spasms and a blackout in the process =D But I'd say he's one of the most loyal guys in the section because he really cherishes friends a lot, although we might diss him most of the time, heh.

Bed five: although shah's more happening in section one, he's still rather close to me because we have two similar traits. We're online most of the time and he's gonna be my smu kaki two years later, heh heh. Oh yes we can't wait till ord and the smu girls are waiting for you, shah ;) Don't forget about me next time ah, ahaha.

Bed six: weixing's the nice guy of our section and it's like he's a little child to us. Watching him grow from an innocent and decent guy into a vulgar and open-minded hooligan, hahaha. Even so, he really helps everyone out when he sweeps the floor for us and wipe the windows. Of course he doesn't do it alone, he motivates us to help him out too so that we won't feel guilty =D Although he's such a good guy to everyone, he also bitches with us about all the annoying guys in the platoon, haha. He's a double-edged sword, people.

Bed seven: asif's the butt of all racist jokes but he always plays it cool with us, ahah. It's kinda contrasting to see him enthusiastic about most stuff while you see his buddy being late for everything, heh heh. And I gotta hand it to him for introducing so many r&b music in the section, sometimes the bunk feels like a mini-zouk. Think he's gonna be some big shot next time, everytime hear his name for psc scholarship, basket, ahaha.

Bed eight: paul, paul, paul, what can I say. This guy is obviously full of skeletons in his closet because of his numerous dark secrets. Like...paying for porn. Hahaha whoops =D It's kinda funny to watch him tilt his head fourty-five degrees 90% of the time to show his boredom during trainings and then watch him perform like ten to twelve chin-ups the next moment. Crazy kid, wonder if every vj guy is as weird as him. Kinda creepy to watch him rattle on and on while bitching about guys he can't stand, it's just like having a girl in the platoon, hahaha.

Bed nine: clement's like the most honest guy ever. Why? That's because he always unleashes his bad habits on us like not washing his hands after his shits and wearing the same set of number four for the whole field camp, etc. Hahaha, but he's quite a guy full of personality and all that and he mixes around well with most guys but mostly busy talking to some girl on the phone, haha.

Bed ten: well, I didn't even know weilong existed in jj till bmt, so we kinda had a lot of stuff to talk about. But he's one of the guys whom we all respect, as the one who stood against the oc when he interrupted the oc with repeated 'yes sir's. Of course he got screwed after that, hahaha. He's also a member of the bitchers' gang, so guess he'll be dearly missed =D

Bed eleven: well well well, my gay buddy. He's the gay one, I'm straight, hahaha. Things went downhill for him when there was this really freaky homo incident which occurred to me, then he said to the section, "eh I ask you all ah... ... ... ...do you all mind gays?" Then we erupted with laughter and he was marked as the proclaimed gay, heh heh. But I've really been through quite a lot with my buddy since we're like forced to help each other out or our asses will get fried by the commanders if anything wrong happens to one of us. I'm fortunate to have him as a responsible buddy even though I have to put up with his gay antics, hahah. Thanks dude and cheers, we made it through bmt!

Bed twelve: Best guy in the entire world. That's me, hahaha.

Well, guess that's enough reflection for now. It's rest and party for another short-lived twelve days, so... watch out for updates if I ain't lazy, hahaha. Hope I get posted to somewhere decent too. From the looks of it, the life of a man doesn't seem so bad now, as compared to a commander, heh heh. Alright, I'll end with a...

SERPENTS SLITHER AWAY.

Two more days to the end of basic military training, marked with a parade of sorts. Well mostly it's a lot of standing and waiting like what I've experienced during rehearsals. Anyway, it's on tuesday the tenth of june, then it'll be twelve full days of block leave. It's a lot, lots of things to do, so don't tell me otherwise, hoho.

I know I've been away for long again, and it's been a tough week too. 24km route march left me with numerous blisters all over my feet and despite using vaseline, I still suffered torturous abrasions at the groin. Gahhh, but it's over, with lots more to expect within the next year-and-eight-months of national service.

Well, didn't really go all out this week, cos' there's not much time as usual. Went to attend yiwen's dance recital which was thirty bucks, expensive, so I couldn't let myself doze off, hahaha. But yiwen was damn pro lah, never saw her dance in person before. Closest I got to was watching her on youtube -.-The recital was good because some of the dancers were rather hot, especially some girl dressed in this chun-li costume. Wah, if it could even get nigel interested in her, you would know how pro she was.Somewhere hidden in this picture, but I didn't take it of course. I'd only focus on chun-li, hahaha. Darren ah...want to take picture but no balls, sad lah =DThe recital ended late, really late at ten at night. And I didn't even eat my dinner yet, since my lunch at noon. How can a soldier last ten hours without food?! Make that eleven hours, since yiwen had a lot of goodbyes to say to her gay friends, literally.Substitute for flowers =D

Alright, gonna book-in in the evening. Final book-in of bmt, lovely lovely lovely.

I'll be back on 100608, kids.

GATES OF BINDING SOULS.

Nine days left to the end, of my bmt.

They said bmt would be the most enjoyable time of a guy's life and well, it has been enjoyable. Though the thought of having to do field camp, sit test and all the other outfield crap kinda changes things altogether. But I've made some valuable friends, albeit they're a horny bunch and the top two kengsters are in my section, hahaha. It won't be long till they go their separate paths in ns and I meet new crazy people elsewhere in my new unit.

S.o.c. test coming up tomorrow plus the final two basic close combat training lessons are left. How I hate bcct, the lessons are like a whole bunch of shouting 'ha!' in succession when you perform some combat moves and that's just it. The thought of putting camo on and crawling in mud for the final lesson just sucks too. It's okay, last week, I can make it.

Book in at nine in the evening later, oh well. No mood to blog further, ahaha. Next week I'll get something better up, no worries :)
