REMARKABILITY OF SERENDIPITY.

Later that day after clubbing, I slept for roughly seven hours before waking up to prepare for the chalet. Yeah I know seven hours is relaxing (it's the holidays for goodness sake, good to sleep more) as compared to edwin's four hours he slept before meeting them at noon. Of course I met the later bunch.I'm kinda sick of the landscape at boon lay because I keep seeing the same construction site beside jurong point. Karin was late by twenty minutes so I was bored I guess. Makes me wonder when will this extension ever finish its construction since it's not even half-done -_-Fast-forwarding to the monorail station at vivo. It's already the first hint that things belonging to sentosa cost exorbitantly, like the monorail fare costing three bucks, and the card can only be used in a day. Meaning I have to spend six bucks coming back and forth before and after the chalet, sheesh.Sweet, another construction site to stare at. At least this will be a more pleasant sight to see since it's the cradle of singapore's integrated resort, which will arrive in like years to come. On the tram to the resort we spotted christopher roaming along the beach on the phone with his nikon d40 sigital slr camera (mine's his improved version wahaha) with the apparent intention of snapping pictures at the same time. As soon as we saw him, he hopped on for a ride.
This is the room, the chalet room. With three shots, I roughly covered the entire room. Sentosa's chalets are significantly smaller than east coast's or downtown east's. And these chalets cost like three hundred bucks for a 3d2n stay. Makes me wonder again what on earth ntuc is doing with their surpluses.
Even the pool is damn tiny and kinda shapes in a bizarre way from up here.It was getting dark by the time we got there too, so I decided to walk around for fun (which wasn't really fun since it's such a small place) but the second level had many arcade machines and a pool table. So it really wasn't that bad. Some loser who played with me got his balls stuck at this position. Lives up to his name right? Loser. We had a barbeque that night and well, I didn't really help out much since I'm not really much of a cook. So I went around snapping random shots like of this handsome guy right above. The humble prince lending his aid to barbeque on the right. He was also looking cool with his cap. His girl (not in the picture) was also around to barbeque with him. Aww, they've grown so close since prom night, how love blossoms.Loser.Loser who looks and acts like a loser.
There was also this dinner function at the beach called 'happy days' and saw many people sitting on tables just listening to some band playing slow music. I figured it was some concert for retirees or something, heh heh.We were just mingling normally during the barbeque, while we chat about lotsa stuff while eating and all. There was this usually fortunate thing which happened to us too.

I don't think we bought a lot of food, but then another family was also having their dinner and they couldn't finish the catered food. So they kinda offered us whatever they had, which was quite a lot of food like fried rice (which tasted salty and like crap), mushrooms (which were darn cold but I think edwin enjoyed those nonetheless), raw salmon (whoo) and some other food. But I guess my stomach ain't really demanding when I'm at chalets, so I didn't really gorge myself with all that.As it was nearing midnight, we decided to take a night walk along the beach to nowhere. Bad thing about this walk was I was going to miss boston legal at 12mn, darn but well, I followed them anyway since I don't attend class chalets everyday. Well, it was pitch black too so I couldn't snap any vivid shots at all.
Even chris had difficulty shooting stars with his nikon d40, ahaha sorry just had to emphasise the absence of the 'x' behind the model name.
Cafe del mar was practically empty on a wednesday night when elsewhere other clubs were having ladies' night. So sad, so I wasn't titillated enough to enter it, hahaha.
Ah, I'm sure.Drunkard beggar loser. We were looking for 7-11 on sentosa which turned out to be closed. How crazy is that, someone's gotta do something about this so-called "twenty-four hour" outlets man. After strolling that far and playing with a beach ball we found on the beach, we strolled back. -_-I tried to sleep since everyone else was about to fall asleep, but to no avail. I was just pretending. The night was horrid I tell you, since edwin was like fighting some war in his sleep and snoring unbearably loud that most of us couldn't just sleep it off. And when I meant war, it went on for about an hour or even more.

I didn't know about that cos' I got out of the chalet to sleep elsewhere instead.
Besides, it really felt like the squatters in there with fifteen people crowding in the room, just had to get out.
The pool side looked like an appealing place to sleep by but well, bad choice. About less than an hour later I was covered in about fifteen mosquito bites, with roughly about ten on my left leg alone. What fresh hell is this.
As expected, the entire night was spent switching places and finding somewhere adequate to rest, but this guy told us to go back to our chalets to sleep cos' me and the loser were sleeping on a sofa near the reception counter. So in the end, we went back to the chalet at around six in the morning. The snoring had already subsided though, and a few of them like yuwei and edwin (yes now you know why the snoring had subsided) were already awake.

Later in the day, we went for a few volleyball games at the beach till my body started to feel a little drowsy, so I went back to the chalet and intended to sleep. But the pool water seemed crystal clear, beckoning my arrival. And I succumbed to its pleas and swam my heart out, ahh. After their volleyball games they joined in and we played monkey with the same beach ball in the water, aha what fun.Random shot of karin balancing two toielt rolls on her head. No idea what's that about -_-Well, I guess I couldn't stay another night so I kinda went home with a bunch of people in the evening. Felt much better when I arrived back home, except the fact that my skin started peeling from the sunburns, heh.Saw the board game the navy sent to my home. What a title.
Seems like the point of this board game is to tell enlistees like me that it's much more fun to fight real-life battles on the sea when you're in the navy (like picking up dead bodies from the bottom of the sea and doing coast-guard duty?) as compared to dealing with office politics next time when I'm in the workplace. Well, seems like a cheaper and better idea of persuasion than the air force's one, which I'm not gonna describe.

Oh, the touch rug team was also at the chalet at the same time we reached there. And damn, nicole was lookin' good too, ahaha but I'm not so desperate to go up and chat her up, just eye candy :)

Whew, I'm done. Next up will be about 4c's rare get-together-cum-bbq at moses'!

THE PROMENADERS.

Well, apologies for some of the days i've been away. It's been a wicked time I've been having for the past few days. I'll begin with graduation night which they themed as 'glæsisvellir' for no reason because none of the events during that night had anything to do with that word. So much for bombastic vocabulary.
It was held at amara sanctuary in sentosa, which I haven't been to before. But it's safe to say that it wasn't much of a sanctuary to me at all, especially since I've heard that some jc in the east is holding their prom at velvet underground sometime later while another jc had a post-prom party at dxo that night. The dashing prince is looking hot with his fiery eyes.Miss tan looks the same like any other school day, ahaha. Maybe she came from school =x And I didn't get to take a picture with her, darn, nothing to insult about her, ahaha.Anyway, the ballroom was really small. It wasn't a dinner where the waiters would serve you the dishes with some classical music playing in the background; it was a buffet where everyone had to rush to queue up for food. It's like canteen etiquette man. Plus those councillors were like standing around in their uniforms to sightsee or something, they didn't even check our tickets. It's like I didn't even need to pay sixty bucks to get there at all -_-It's a bit blur but you can make out the words anyway. This kinda affirms the rumours I've been
hearing about this old woman who got tripped by a soccer guy, where she hit her head and became comatose, before passing away. Man, it's kinda hard to believe that such an accident could suddenly happen and go on the news. I'd bet even though the guy didn't mean it, he'd feel like a murderer, and it's a screwed-up feeling.Oh, is that what you wanted to say, lewis?Yes, there were lots of camwhoring that night, but I'm gonna spare you the torment of those pictures for now and let you suffer next time when I get more of them from the other cameras.
This was like the most precious shot of the night man. The scenario looked as if they were walking down some red carpet and all the cameras were flashing at them like they were celebrities. Serious. Yes finally the prince has become a man, with his woman, hohoho.Hahaha, at first jit was looking sian-ed with the 'not again' expression because everyone kept pushing karin and him to take a shot together. Well it worked out anyway, heh heh. This is a very blur digital zoom of the prom king and queen contestants on stage. Karolyn's at the far right in her sexy plunging neckline dress while jayne's second from the left and nicole's being blocked by the emcee :(
This is like three-quarter of the plethora of dishes served that night. It's like high tea for goodness sake.

Anyway, it was a disappointing dinner (come on amelia, give me your best shot, i'm all ready, hahaha) because nicole didn't become prom queen... :( Haha but well, jayne deserves to win too though cos' of her track record but well, I'm not gonna engage myself in this redundant dilemma. Anyway, I got to meet jayne for a picture too, whee! :D Jiayang was invited by his former classmate to dxo that night. We thought it was a great idea since the night was still young and most of us were feeling restless, even lewis was about to literally jump about even before we went in. Lo and behold, we actually crashed cj's post-prom party. I even met nathan and moses there, and moses seemed to be the usher, ahah. Anyway, it was a hell lot better than our boring prom, though emcee made some effort in entertaining.
The first band performance was damn annoying. This guy came up and started screaming like a maniac from the asylum, and I thought he was from some band hired by dxo but no, he's from cj, hahaha. Well, explains the voice quality.Although I still had a fun time clubbing, it was really short-lived. Seriously man, it's like after we left the club to look for the rest who left, tokyo drift started booming in the background. Ahhh sad. They sat by the riverside when we found them and then we were all feeling thirsty (I probably wouldn't have cared about my thirst when I was dancing, hahaha) so we traversed numerous detours just to find a 7-11 outlet, which was near funan. Gosh, and after we reached there, I already lost the mood to jump around and had a feeling I wouldn't be doing that later on.

True enough, at about three in the morning when we arrived back there, the club closed already. Darnnn, should've just stayed there man, but well, it was some experience.
You realise these two pictures are like showing the opposing forces of darkness and light? Hahaha, obviously i'm on the right ;) This is city link mall at six a.m. by the way, and we were on our way to catching the first train home, hahaha. Yes yes, all these to avoid the exorbitant taxi fares.Solach probably took this on my cam to highlight his damn name.

Yeah and that's probably all to my wednesday night. Could've been better but well, pretty enjoyable. Wait till you hear about the class chalet man, hoho, which would be in my next post. So, stay tuned :)

Clubbers unite!

SANGUINE TRAVERSAL.

The night ago when I was reading the book again, I came across stats again.Incredibly disturbing to read about such stuff after the a's.

~
Anyway, at least today shows that one of my aims this holiday is gonna be accomplished. Jogged for almost a couple of hours around the jurong west neighbourhood, even though I'm already friggin' sick of this whole area.
Travelled to solach's house within ten minutes but was kinda developing a slight stitch; bad start. I didn't see his parents around though ;) While waiting I did some more stretches to keep it active. From there, we jogged to brother lee ching's place but he's so shy of the camera he doesn't even let me shoot pictures of his house. That's fine with me if it's the prince's decree. He led us to some fitness corner and we lazed there a while before really jogging to lakeside park. On the way there we passed by fuhua sec and (yes we were already expecting a comment from him) lee ching openly declared "welcome to fuhua paradise."

Asshole.

I tried to keep my laughter in and looked on. Then lewis told him to try yelling outside the school to make his presence as a senior known. But obviously, you know he wouldn't dare to since there was seemingly no one in school, he wouldn't do it.

Then a group of fuhua girls walked out of school...
And I couldn't contain my laughter.
After the jog solach couldn't take it anymore and begged us to jog to jurong point to rest, instead of jogging at lakeside park. He was almost in tears, so me and lee ching decided to yield to his pleas. Well, frankly there's nothing much to say about jp just that the annoying night crowd was beginning to grow in size so we just walked around to get drinks and that was it.

I'm rather satisfied with today, since I get to at least exercise after so many months of not doing so. Never mind, there's still a lot of time left till april! XD

*Advertorial*

If you're a girl whose lazy at home and don't like to shop while walking or if you're a guy who wants to buy something for your girl but you're too damn insincere to make the effort to go find it in town, look no further!

Visit fushion (yes there's an 'h' in it) house for your apparel needs!

From what I know, you'll get a free transparent umbrella if you're one of the first ten customers. Solves your weather worries since the monsoon season is coming! ;)

And my friend who manages the site is a really honest and sweet girl, so you don't need to worry about getting cheated. Hahaha, if you really do, come look for me, I'll redirect you to her since she lives just a few storeys away, wahaha.

Anyway, just go visit fushion house if you're interested. Window shopping doesn't hurt anyone too! :)

ABOMINATION OF THE SCARLET KING.

It's hard to believe an unbelievable thing but it's believable.

The A's phase has finally finished and this era has been concluded (which hints a change of the banner soon I guess).

Though I didn't like go paint the town red (like some person I know) and splurge all my money on a single day, well I can say that it's still a comparably jubilant sensation. It's the feeling that counts, and I'm not trying to console myself. Kimochiii.

Well, whenever there's a celebration, there's bound to be pictures right? Hoho, even though it's not much.BYEBYE!Heh, cheap thrills.
Well, even though it was just a normal class outing, I'd expected it'd all boil down to a movie. Add to that, the least expected show I thought I'd watch this holiday - beowulf.

Actually I caught the trailer already and it looked presentable, but I never liked the idea of medieval war shows (besides 300) and on the topic of 300, beowulf practically morphed "this is spartaaa!" into "i am beowulf!". It's not about the copyright infringement thing, it's just that, no effect man.

Overall the show sucks. Though the graphics are good, the idea of digital nudity is stupid. I'm not saying real nudity is better, it's just that they overdo the nudity aspect. Just when you thought this beowulf idiot would fight in his armour in all its glory, he seems to be too much of a naturalist. So much so that when he sees a woman he likes, he just goes up to her and strips -_- He defeated some rookie troll without any clothes on too.

Dumbass show.At least these two guys were happy despite the lousy show. If you're wondering what lewis is wearing on his fourth finger, it's some extended metal ring thingy which looks like metal but actually isn't because it does not respond to a magnet and it's actually supposed to look nice but it looks gay. And yeah, he dipped his hair in mud.I have no idea why he keeps appearing randomly. Let's try making the picture look better. There, looks great.

Class joke in case you didn't catch it.

Sweet, I foresee days of just pure relaxation, for now.

APPROXIMATE EQUINOX.

Hmm, there're some bad news to share in case you haven't heard. It's only applicable to those who follow some american series.

Prison break season three takes a break from now till january fourteenth when episode nine airs. So, that spells disaster for early ns enlistees :O Unless you got the balls to break out of there and come back to the mainland to download.

Heroes season two ends early december with eleven episodes in the can, as compared to the twenty-three episodes back then in the first season. Whaddaheck man.

The big bang theory is the worst lah. Finally one intelligently sarcastic show comes along and goes away at its ninth episode. So sad, no more funny physics to watch.

There're many other shows with their seasons cut practically into half, whilst throwing the other half away. All because of the writers' strike, which I can't be bothered to talk about because it's so political, I think.

~
Rewinding back to last friday. On the way home we walked back to find the entire school spick and span; almost everyone went home. Why not, it was the end of the exams for most but we saw a couple of girls sitting some table not very far off and they were j1s. Crazy man, who'd actually stay back in school on a holiday at five in the evening. It's like they seem like they don't have any life at all, in starking contrast to the grinning whacko above.I think at this stage, most of us are beginning to reminisce about playing old video games on the pc. I tried battlefield 1942 and I think it's hell of a fun game lah, gosh. Steer battle tanks, airplanes, jeeps, go on a trigger happy spree with a rifle with unlimited ammunition, woohoo that's the life of a geek.

Anyway I began preparing for one of my mindless indulgences which was to read up on psychology. So I went to the library on a saturday and got right up to the psychology section. Well I initially planned to try sociology but it was too macroscopic for me, makes me think about economics in a way >.< I first saw this book and I'm like whoa, chakra! Uzumaki naruto dattebayo! Hahah I have no idea what that is anyway, sounds rather spiritual (but not my type) with all the demons and all that. Creepy.Anyway I settled with the elementary texts. Psychology for dummies was informal so it might serve as a pleasant introduction while introducing psychology had some comic book element. Yeah, might be interesting. Besides these, I helped mom borrow a couple of books too.^^ Now everyone can learn malay and chat with their buddies at the void decks!

Two. Eck. Days. Ugh. Left. Oomfh.

Oh, just a closing note. I've just tried the beta version of windows live messenger 8.5 and it looks kinda sleek. They mostly changed the interface; no new gadgets a
dded I think. Here're some preview shots. The conversation window was also slightly renovated. Message statuses are now placed above the chat box while the display pictures look like they're inside a television monitor. Rather weird modification I thought.Well whatever, go try it on your own. Not much to explore though. And the darn advertisements are still everywhere, so too bad. That goes for mugger jansen too, ahaha.

You can download version 8.5 from here.
Note that you'll be immediately directed to the download link; no frills for faithful readers ;)
Ok if this version was already released long ago and you already got it, don't blame me, sue cambridge.

Peace out.

SKIRMISHES OF COLOSSUS.

Killer week ends, and I think it sorta lived up to its name.

Hm, i'll do a damage report:

Monday was physics paper two, but err, I thought that it was a little tough for me. Probably because the structure of the paper was weird, the last question was like doing graphical calculations and all that, reminded me of math. Then it's like I didn't have astoundingly high confidence after the paper. Well.

Chemistry paper two on tuesday was more gratifying, although I made some stupid mistakes here and there. Okay, I'm like making everything sound rather bleak.

Wednesday's economics paper was like really rushed, just like all the economics papers I've taken these two years. But well, for economics you never know for sure whether you're "babbling bullshit or you're dazzling with brilliance." (quoted) Though I can safely say besides the circular flow of income part, it was manageable.

Today's chemistry paper one, erm, I don't know. No one really discussed it after it so I'm not really sure, we were in the 'woohoo! let's go kick balls!' mood and yeah, that's what we did. Although the prince told me it looked easy while lewis said it was damn difficult. Hoho, scholar lee in the making.

I actually wanted to comment more but I'm kinda spacing out now. I'm gonna savour the night, before I get back to work tomorrow.

Four more days.

ps. pang, go away.

Wednesday, November 14

ECONOMIES OF SCALE.

This is crazy.

Initially I planned the previous night to wake up at ten in the morning, with my alarm clock being the sole witness. But then I had been thinking that I woke up at nine every morning that I had an afternoon paper. So sure, I'll see whether I wake up at nine. What the hell, I woke up at eight and I couldn't go back to lala-land. When I was in the midst of trying to get back to sleep again, I thought of something quite imaginary.

It's like it's something I never thought I'd think about in the sub-conscious state - physics.

Okay this is super weird, but I managed to link that science to philosophy. Even weirder. It's like I got some divine inspiration from the big bang theory (no, it's not what you think) or something (no, it's not what you think). And I didn't get any ideas from solach (wonder why we don't call him this anymore during the a's)'s emo post about his life.

And no, I won't share it now, because there's about quarter of a day left to my economics paper and I shouldn't be thinking about new ideas to venture to before crisis ends.

It's really ending though, and I wanna talk about that idea of mine after everything, hoho.

Six more days, baby.

Final stretch of econs too :(

Tuesday, November 6

CHAOS³.

It's only tuesday yet the second week of papers have concluded.

Chemistry paper three was yesterday, and it's not that bad really. Just feels weird when you feel that the question is easy but everyone else in the whole wide world thinks it's killer. That's one damned emotion of uneasiness :/

Today's mathematics paper was easier than its predecessor, but I thought the probability question was damn ambiguous lah. 'Success' here, 'success' there, and that made me spend nearly half-an-hour deciphering whatever they were trying to imply. I tried to cough out a complete answer lah and got the methodology right, even though the answer's wrong. Cross-finger scenario.

Anyway, relieve some stress with some random pictures.Look at the smart guy squatting outside the school gate. Aha trying to shit without pulling down his pants. Kidding, he was trying to take a shot of some small mouse hiding in a crevice while he thought I was trying to help him take a pic of it. Ha, punk'd.Whilst doing method of differences and using the correction fluid, it began to leak again and looked as if it was shaping itself into an α-helix. Ahaha, damn, the chemistry's getting to my head.
Before going to school, I saw two immiscible layers of clouds in the distance. I assume the lower layer is the cirrus while the top one is the cumulonimbus. Hmm, when I think of layers somehow my mind links to upthrust, which is due to pressure difference in a fluid. Is this like some consequence of global warming? Might adversely affect the crops industry since the biofuel industry is dependent on corn while the masses require wheat to survive.

Never mind if you don't get all that, just plain babble.

Coming monday begins killer week. Damnnn...

Saturday, November 3

PHONE BOOTH IN THE THIRD REICH.

Taking a break from all the senseless insanity.

On a lighter note, I just received a superwall post from my perverted friend in mi. Well, some things really never change, wahaha.Get what I mean now?

Hmm summary of what tragedies happened this week:

Physics paper three was umm, full of uncertainties. Erm, I don't mean by uncertainties from the measurements chapter but, ah well. There was so much explaining to do I didn't know whether I was just writing crap on my paper to fill the lines up.

General paper wasn't so bad. At least I was satisfied with one thing after all the papers in paper one. Paper two had to drag my spirits down to hell, damn.

The mathematics paper just uh, rendered me speechless. Not in a good way.

Next week ain't so bad, just mathematics paper two to decide my fate with maths and chemistry paper three, which I really really really hope I'll be able to complete within the two hours. Then, the week after the next will be the one I'm gonna abhor for the rest of my life if I don't put in all my effort.

Right, seventeen days left. Go go go, people!
