THE OPPOSING PARALLEL.

What a day of tragedy.

Yes, the results. The results, but not the results. I haven't gotten back everything yet so I shan't say much for now.

I'll just say, it's bad lah. Enough to plunge my mind into chaos and panic especially when there's just about a month left. Heard my chem tutor telling my classmates not to do anything but study study and study. No luxuries like blogging or soccer or whatever, just confine your humane mind and soul within the boundaries of studies. Something like cold turkey, oh wait, it is.

Sigh, but... so many inhibitions and it just seems impossible.

Let's do a little math.

She said you can only spend fifteen minutes at most for every meal. Taking that you strictly stick to three meals a day, that'll be fourty-five minutes. To make it simpler, we round it off to an hour.

You need to shit? You wanna read the papers? Go to school? Hmm, since school takes up about four to five hours or so, we'll make it five.

Everyone needs sleep so optimally, it'll be a third of a day, ie. eight hours.

The rest of the time will be spent on mugging your balls out. That'll be ten hours. On non-school days, you'll get to mug about fourteen hours. In a week, that'll be almost two hundred hours of mugging and within a month, you'll be able to cover nearly six thousand hours of hardcore mugging. Sounds feasible right, my chem tutor said it's achievable.

Well, that's also the reason why ideal gases don't exist in reality.

Ahhhhh. We'll see how things go lah, sigh.

SENTIENCE OF SEPTEMBER.

I'm feeling better after an afternoon nap.

I decided to get a haircut again because it's rather troublesome to keep long hair, especially when mine has the tendency to curl in. Yeah so I rang my barber at night and went for the cut. There was something interesting to note. As my barber cut away, she said I have been cutting at her place for three to four years already. What, that long? I only thought I've been cutting there since a year ago, because I recommended lewis to cut his dumb mohawk there. I expressed some surprise, then she told me it's true since her baby's already two, and I've been going there even before her baby was born. Ah, so it was really the case.

I realised about a few things. She still remembers that I haven't been going there for more than a month since my last visit and I always thought that I was just another customer. Looks like I became a regular one. I guess sometimes when you're too caught up in your own stuff, you rarely pay attention to people around you while they may actually still remember you in some way. Looks like the world is full of mysteries somehow.I became a bit more adventurous and decided to explore the outskirts of boon lay, at about eleven at night. And boy, if you ever live in boon lay and you're sending your girlfriend home at night, don't be a bitch and let her walk to the station herself.

As I was sorta jogging along the incomplete mrt line extension beyond boon lay, there were seemingly a lot of shadows walking along the pedestrians' path. Almost at an instant, I identified them to be indian/banglah workers. Not that I have anything against them, I only witnessed one of them harrassing some chinese girl at night once, doesn't say anything very bad about them right? Urm and if you're wondering, nothing happened that time okay, she just ran off and the banglah gave up, and I wasn't the only one at the scene, right nigel and darren? :)

I jogged all the way to the jurong west recreation centre, which boasted that they had some aquatic facilities. There wasn't very much to see, just a really big car park at ground floor, which you can see above. I thought it'll be some ghost town at that hour, but there were actually some kids a little younger than me playing 'catching' there. Guess they were feeling the saturday night rush like me. I couldn't tell if they were chinese or malay kids though, ahaha.
There was a town area further up ahead but I didn't feel like exploring further. I thought that if I stayed out later I might chance upon yet another police guy like last night, because we seemed suspicious young kids riding on bikes holding plastic bags containing packet food, when there were other worse cases around in the neighbourhood.

The outskirts ain't exactly a very hip place, there're just a whole block of flats everywhere and it makes sense why jurong point is expanding even more to cater to the entire jurong west population. Might be a good reason to move out soon, ahaha.

He dared me to take it and he didn't expect me to succeed.

Insolence :)That was the birthday boy shaking his head in excitement on the first day of the prelims. I guess he enjoyed his day although not everyone turned up :)An example of what chemistry students do with a bottle parmesan cheese and a glass of pepsi - mix them to test if the reactant solid in powder form is able to dissolve in an impure carbonate. After a long period of stirring and centrifuging, the result was a negative. And the other day we were teasing chingyi because he said he bought 'desert' from a dessert shop and the attendant served him a bowl of ice kachang which seemed like they forgot the 'kachang' bit. Ahaha, the prince truly brings entertainment to the class, hoho.

That concludes some reminiscing for now.

I FEEL LIKE I CAN TELL YOU EVERYTHING.

The prelims are unofficially over, with just two mcq papers left. Everyone's saying that there's no necessity to study for these papers but my family insists that they're actually harder than those explanatory questions since you're either wrong or right for mcq, same as you're either male or female, either two hundred or zero iq - mutually exclusive. So, I got the point: just mug.

Performance so far? Ah, ask my tutor, he broadcasts some results on occasional nights so we can either get exhilarated or demoralised about our results. For me, it's usually the latter.

Right, I think we're about the only jc who hasn't finished our prelims. The other jc with a uniform which looks like a prison outfit already completed theirs, sweet. Perhaps we didn't realise that there're only thirty-eight days left to the actual examinations, gasp.

Alright, I'm too down and out to worry about jackshit. Leave me alone.

EYE OF THE TORRENTS.

I'm surprised still about twenty people still read my blog even when it's inactive, hoho.

Anyway, I'm midway into the prelims and, it's not looking fantastically good, even though I still think I put in some effort. Good effort, I suppose.

Hmm, many say that it's just the prelims and whatever, so we should all take it easy. And whatever results we attain, it doesn't matter, because that's not even going to be the final grade we're going to get.

Realistically speaking, it is true, but I personally and honestly think we shouldn't think this way. We should like start panicking when mr lai tells us our physics paper three is going to bring our entire physics papers down if we don't start doing something to salvage the situation. We should freak out and pump statistics when the pure math paper killed us last week. We should start speeding things up when we felt that we ran out of time for chemistry paper three. We should hell push things up to the next level.

If we don't start getting motivated by screwed results from the prelims, then it really has lost its sole purpose huh? Ultimately, it's supposed to prepare you for the real thing. The big real thing, which is supposedly easier than the prelims. But that's not a reason to tell yourself it's okay to suck for the prelims, it's a damn reason to tell yourself to prepare yourself well and good for the real examinations. On the other hand, by thinking this way, I made it seem like there'll be no more holidays till after the exams. Great zzz.

DISSEMINATION.

The preliminaries are coming, coming to get you, get you all (excluding ac kids, grr).It starts off with general paper on the tenth of september, and ends off with physics mcq on the twenty sixth. But I think I'll be partying before that, while ac kids start panicking about their results, hohoho.

Yeah, so it'll be a hiatus for now till then, I think.

And this was written just to push edwin's face down, heh heh.

Let's push it down...

Further,

Further,

Further,

Further,

And further down.

Okay done.

You might see his face when you scroll down to tag my board anyway =x

GASTRONOMICAL JAMBOREE.

Today was rather eventful, despite having to mug this week for the prelims. Yes guilt, guilt. But I guess the excitement will go downhill from here - good, in some sense.
After the economics make-up lesson which totally didn't seem necessary, it ended early and we went on the pre-planned trip to sakura. I didn't know where in clementi it was, so I just followed them aimlessly to the interchange and they took some unknown bus to this unknown place with an unknown bridge linking from that place to another unknown place with a lot of restaurants but no sakura. Sakura-chan~!
Then, we were located at some place in clementi where I had never been to before. Great. But we figured it out to be sunset way, which was miles long from where we were supposed to go - west coast. My group was luckier, we caught a cab with a smart driver who knew exactly where the place was. Jieying's group came later but as for the prince, he had multiple chauffeurs. In other words, his group took three cabs just to find some restaurant near nus. Ahahaha, but they only paid for two, so it wasn't that bad.

I'm supposed to pay 1 buck to jiayang for the fare, each member in chingyi's group, about more than two bucks :DThis is jiayang's first wave. From the looks of it, he took everything at the starting section for his appetizer. Heh heh.

There're two levels in sakura, which is actually located at the park near my church. Yeah man, I know, so darn near and I didn't even know such a place existed. Anyway, twenty-one dollars for buffet lunch lasting from noon to two-thirty, not too bad I guess. Each table had about four clips which you could clip to a stand near the food to show that you're ordering that. Then the chef would cook it and bring it to your table. Rather unique I guess, usually you'd be getting the food by yourself.
Prince looks satisfied with his meal after a long cab ride.

So, he starts pondering, "it's time for some dessert!" He asks chris and I to accompany his royal highness to the dessert section on the second level. I thought, why not, it'd be my honour to escort the prince to have some dessert.
The prince saw this peculiar looking exotic dessert and inquires me for my opinion. The label clearly showed 'oreo cheesecake' in bold caps, so I kindly suggested it to be that. Edwin came by and the prince asked him that too, he remarked, "Cannot see meh, they said oreo cheesecake what!" And so, the prince took it to be oreo cheesecake and proudly snapped up about six of these... 'oreo cheesecakes'.

When he went back to take a bite, his eyes widened with shock, horror and disgust in a single expression, and exclaimed, "Ohmygawd!" And he spat out the remains on his plate, all in a single flamboyant demonstration of royalty.

He thought it was oreo cheesecake, but any dimwit can tell that it's sweet potato showered with black sesame. Maybe he assumed the black sesame was oreo. Ohhh, the power of suggestion. Not that I'm saying the prince is a dimwit but oh well :)The aftermath =xEveryone chipped in their food, resulting in this gross concoction. That pudding is jonah's :D
Recreation after the buffet. Haha nah, we were too gorged to do anything more, so we sorta relaxed a while at the park. And karin wanted us to sprint ten rounds around the park continuously, probably pissed that jit hin didn't show up even when she recited his cellphone number a couple of times. Nah, kidding, but not about the latter.

Mugtime :)

ONGOING TRANSPOSITION.

Extracted from the sunday times.

It's amusing, but on the other hand, it signals moral decay. Not just in afghanistan, where the terrorists are actually promising to execute more kidnappings in the future, but also elsewhere in the world.

Food for thought, and prayer.

METAMORPHOSING SOON.

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will."
- Romans 12:2

Just something for future reference.

Church was a little different today, because they had games today at west coast park after service. I wanted to join in actually, but I was still feeling under the weather. Nathan fortunately remembers to bring his ipod every time. I just caught the bourne ultimatum and thought that it's one heck of a show but I didn't watch the previous titles and nathan had identity and supremacy on his pod.

So... ahahahaha...

I managed to finish the bourne identity while they played games! It wasn't easy, especially watching such a small screen under the bright shining sun, ugh. I know lah, not very healthy for me to watch movie while others were playing captain's ball and socialising but the fact is that I'm not even in the pink of health yet. So, no harm for now I guess, more opportunities will come later :)
Tagged along with nate's family and tian to ghim moh hawker centre. Most of them already came here before but for me, I didn't even know we came here. Too absorbed into the pod, hahaha. This, my friends, is an instance of reliance on technology (gp, gp).

Notice the whole long stretch of people standing in the background? Nathan was actually one of them, queuing up for the so-called famous char kway teow of ghim moh. He didn't queue up for his own sake lah, actually queued for us. Then since he waited about more than half an hour, tian and I kinda brought a plate of carrot cake and his drink to him while queuing as if he was running some marathon.Erm I guess it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't worth the long wait either. What can be so fantastic about a plate of char kway teow anyway, unless they include really good cockles which I don't eat anyway. We ate everything for nate's sake lah, heh heh.
View from nate's place. I'd say I've never really explored his room but looking out of the window really makes up for his small room size. Better than the view in my room, when I'm always staring at the same old carpark for eight years straight, I might as well go live in it.

At least a trip to his place wasn't in naught and my thumbdrive wasn't for nothing, I got the bourne supremacy now! Hahaha. Ok gaelan, this is not healthy for yourself. Oh well, think I succumb to fads once in a while.

Okay, tribute to the prince.Before.
During. (the rape)

There's no 'after' :)I just realised the eyes are looking at the chick. How apt, wahahaha.
This was almost impossible to take because he jolted into a blur when I popped my head into the kitchen for less than a second. He could multi-task rather effectively - washing plates, socialising, and watching out for paparazzi. Apparently his focus was more on the latter.

Hm, things might get interesting.

Edit:
If you know the prince personally, go here and read the latest post (second september). Final part of the post is sure to shock you, ahaha this is solely for publicity purposes only.
